Scarborough, Tobago – Chief Secretary Farley Augustine has accepted an invitation from Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley to attend a National Security Council (NSC) meeting in Tobago on July 9, 2024. This meeting follows a request made by Augustine in January to specifically discuss the island’s rising crime rates.
The Chief Secretary expressed gratitude for the privilege of being invited to the high-level meeting, acknowledging that the matter of crime affects all members of society. He emphasized the critical need for unity in combating crime, regardless of political beliefs, underscoring a call for a collaborative approach to enhance safety and security in Tobago.
