Tobago Business Chamber, chamber chairman Martin George calls on authorities to do more to address crime.
Scarborough, Tobago – According to Martin George, Chairman of the Tobago Business Chamber, crime poses a greater threat to the island than hurricanes. While he expressed gratitude to authorities for their response to Hurricane Beryl and relief that the damages were not as severe, he cited the murder of 30-year-old Nathan Roach as a more profound concern.
Roach was tragically murdered just hours before the disaster on Sunday night. George’s comments emphasize that while natural disasters are a serious concern, the escalating issue of violent crime on the island is a persistent and more deeply troubling threat to the safety and well-being of Tobagonians.
