Scarborough, Tobago – June 22, 2024 – Chief Secretary Farley Augustine is expected to unveil a new development plan for Tobago during Monday’s (June 24, 2024) reading of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) budget statement for fiscal 2025.
In anticipation of this, the Tobago Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce expressed its hope that the policy will place a strong focus on tourism and agriculture. These sectors are seen as crucial drivers for Tobago’s economic development and diversification. The Chamber’s request highlights the private sector’s priorities for the upcoming THA budget and the island’s strategic growth.
