TTPS Tobago Officers commended for their great work
Scarborough, Tobago – Thirty-six police officers from the Tobago Division were honored on Wednesday, receiving letters of commendation, certificates of achievement, and monetary awards. This recognition follows their successful seizure of five firearms and a quantity of ammunition between January 1st, 2024, and the present.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the commendation ceremony took place at the Conference Room of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Eastern and Tobago, in Scarborough.
The diligent efforts of the TTPS Tobago Police have removed a significant number of illegal weapons from various communities this year, specifically one rifle, two pistols, two revolvers, and 24 rounds of nine-millimeter ammunition. Among the units responsible for these critical seizures were the Scarborough CID, Task Force, Emergency Response Patrol, Inter-Agency Task Force, and officers from the Roxborough and Scarborough Police Stations.
This initiative highlights the ongoing commitment of the Tobago Division to combat gun violence and enhance public safety across the island.
