A lack of CCTV cameras is being blamed for the TTPS’s inability to solve murders in Tobago. While addressing residents at a police town hall meeting in Delaford last night, ACP Collis Hazel said detectives face an uphill task in trying to track the perpetrators of murders on the island.
Tobago has recorded five murders for the year so far. ACP Hazel noted that if more CCTV cameras were installed, capturing criminals would be easier for the police. He also stated that the THA is responsible for installing more cameras strategically to widen the coverage of the island.
He urged Delaford residents to explore different methods of collaborating to ensure community surveillance and protect themselves from criminal elements.
