Scarborough, Tobago – February 29, 2024 – Ancil Dennis, the political leader of the People’s National Movement (PNM) Tobago Council, recently held a press conference to discuss the ongoing controversy surrounding the construction of the Friendship Connector Road and its affiliated contractors. The total construction cost for this project amounts to $70 million.
During the conference, Dennis disclosed that California Stucco Company Limited, the contractors responsible for the road construction, have received 25% of their payment. His statements raise questions about the financial transparency and management of this significant infrastructure project in Tobago.
