The clarification comes as homicide detectives and legal advisors from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) formally advanced proceedings against the child’s 24-year-old stepfather, Shannon Miller, who was officially charged with murder in the toddler’s death. Angelo vanished from his family’s seaside home along Cambridge Trace, Goodwood, around 7:30 PM on Monday, May 11. While intensive search efforts expanded across coastal waters and mainland terrain, unverified reports of investigative breakthroughs and purported confessions began circulating widely in the public domain, prompting the Commissioner of Police to reinforce the importance of official investigative transparency.
