24-year-old Charged For The Murder Of Vernando George
During an audience held on April 2nd, the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) advised that a 24-year-old man from Fort Bennett, Black Rock, is to be charged with the murder of 32-year-old Vernado George, as well as possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition. George, who worked for a company contracted by T&TEC to clear lines, was murdered on March 25th during his lunch break at the Courland Heritage Park. His death marked Tobago’s third homicide for the year.
